Father Arrested For Repeatedly Raping His 16-Year Old Daughter.

The Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal on Wednesday at a media briefing at the command’s headquarters in Ikot Akpan-Abia disclosed that one Ime Sunday who allegedly

raped his 16-year-old daughter has been arrested.

Ime, who lives at Ekpene Obo in the Esit Eket Local Government Area of the state, was arrested on allegations that his daughter escaped from the house due to the fact that he repeatedly raped her.

According to the commissioner of police Edgal,"On June 21, 2020, around 3.30 pm, operatives of the Esit Eket Division arrested one Ime Sunday of Ekpene Obo, Esit Eket LGA". After much investigation it was discovered that the suspect in November 2019, repeatedly raped his 16-year-old daughter, which made her to elope from her father's home to her friend's place in the Etinan LGA but her father persuaded her to return and that he would back of but after her return he continued.
