Why ladies are often disrespected

Everyone deserves respect regardless of the gender. Nobody likes to be treated anyhow. However, gaining respect from people is not always easy. Most times respect is earned. Regardless of your gender, you will need to have poise and value in a way that confers the aura of respect.

In our present day society, there is a stereotype of masculine superiority. It might not be hard to regard someone who is successful especially if the person is a man. However, for our women folks, it is normal to see people look down on them even when they are doing well in their fields of endeavor. This could be as a result of female behaviour that is now prevalent.

1. Indecent dressing: . There is a saying that says "one should not judge a book by its cover". But the truth is that, most times humans tend to be subjective in their evaluation and will always judge a book by its cover. A lot of ladies dress in an inappropriate manner nowadays exposing their private areas and curves , some in a bid to get enough likes on social media, then unknowingly reduces the value ,pride and dignity of womanhood and make them appear so cheap

Even in formal gathering, churches, offices, you will begin to notice the crazy fashion some women are adorning themselves with. They could get instant lots of like and millions of comments, but they always forget one thing dress how you want to be addressed.

2. Pregnancy showers/unnecessary posts: In a bid to celebrate pregnancy and show the whole whole your big tummy, women go to the extreme of exposing themselves. They all go out taking pictures and exposing their pregnancy to the world. Although this is fun to the eyes, It also makes the woman look like a baby making device and in the overall does not depict womanhood in the right dignity. Our mothers of old, did not necessarily showcase their big stomach in public. Womanhood is to be revered and every part of a woman giving the desired respect and regard. As humans, one thing that makes us unique is how our body and processes are being kept in secrecy. You should not see humans mating publicly, or giving birth publicly like other animals. therefore, the revered positioning of the human race should be upheld and not belittled by animal-like acts. Though in the face of civilisation or the 21st century, this could look debatable but it still does not give enough respect to our female folks.

3. Naked Pics: Recently, Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo posted a naked pics with her son. These particular picture has generated a lot of controversy online and made human right groups forced to question the sanity of the actress in question. Actions like these are not glorifying for the image of a woman and always attract lack of regard even from the child in future and the society.

Nowadays, a lot of men view woman as sex objects because of the way women continue to expose themselves through nude pics. social media is filled with women trying to chase clout at all cost with their "God given body". They flood instagram and other social media platforms with sexually provoking pictures and yet we complain daily of rape and sexual harassment. While this might not be the only reason ,for sexual harassment, it doesn't give enough regard to women and has been responsible for objectifying ladies as sexual objects or entities.

4. Not having a good or legal job: Some women think, it is only a man that needs a job, while they can just sit back on their lazy ass to make endless wishes of what they need from the man. A man will respect a woman who contributes value, who make good contributions to his life be it financially or morally. It is necessary that a woman finds a job to do so as to command respect.

But its common nowadays to see ladies on Instagram just rolling their waists looking for men who will foot their bills. This trend will only make women earn disrespect. While we have some ladies or women who are very industrious, Diligent and even footing their bills in the household, it is not uncommon to see those who have engaged in seeing men as a source of livelihood. A virtuous woman should have a legal job or trade.

5. Trying to act like Men: Another reason why some women will loose their dignity is when they try to act like men. Women are unique in their own way, and they have their roles and functions to carry out which even strong men cannot do. Sadly, some women are so obsessed with trying to act like men. They want to use all opportunity to prove that they can do what men can do, which in my opinion is irrelevant each gender has its own unique functions.

Some women after little success becomes disrespectful to their husbands and their pride drives them crazy. They end up as baby mamas and the likes, forming several advocacy groups e.g feminism (although, am not against feminism) targeted at the men folks. Men will deliberately to disrespect and disregard ladies they feel are too full of themselves. Trying to imitate a character you are not will only cause you so much pain and eventually become second best. To earn regards and respect as a lady, try and know your uniqueness and how wonderful and beautiful you are. Stop irrelevant gender comparison and live to fulfill your dreams.

Women are to be regarded in the society as they have a duty in managing the home and the society at large, but if they fall dead ear to this roles, their influence and relevance will eventually wane and might experience several assault as we witness today. Most of the societal, security problems we have today can be curbed if we have functional homes where the father and mother performs their duties in child training and the girl child is taught to well behaved in the society.
